Going to Honduras for the second time completely changed me but not because of anything I did for them, but because of what they did in me. The people there impacted me more than I could ever impact them. Their worship is raw and uninhibited, full of genuine passion and surrender. Their love is raw too pure, deep, and without conditions. They are content with so little, yet their joy overflows in a way that humbled me deeply. Being surrounded by that kind of faith and simplicity reminded me of what truly matters. I went thinking I was going to serve, but instead, I was transformed by their faith, their love, and their unwavering trust in God.

“Now I have worked with many ministries and organizations before and I'm not sure I have found one that is so intentional with their partners like WHM. Our team grew to have a bond with WHM because of how deeply they cared about knowing each person on our trip. They even came to a worship service to meet our team members' families. From the financial side of things to boots on the ground, they are intentional about everything, and they intentionally seek God in front of all.”

“My dad, who is a pastor, kept urging me to go because it would help open my eyes to what God is doing in the world. Well, my dad was right! I loved the trip so much I kept going the next year and then the next. I have been on 5 or 6 missions trips since with WHM and plan to keep going.”

“I know many people will go on a mission trip and come back and say it was life giving and it changed my life and that statement was true for me as well. I went ready to serve the Lord and was humbled that he would use me. I came back from this trip so filled with joy and awe of who God is, this urgency to want to share with others all we had seen God do, and this love for the people we got to meet.  It was hard to come home and I was ready to go back at the next opportunity that the Lord provided.
